6 Insights I Wish I Knew As A Beginner Creator

This will change your life...

Being a beginner creator is rough.

You don't know where to start...

You probably don't know many people yet...

And you're here all alone trying to make sense of this complicated mess.

People are yelling at you from every direction:

  • "You have to write threads!"

  • "You have to post value!"

  • "Short-form videos are the future!"

Who the f**k are you supposed to listen to?

How do you know if someone's right or wrong?

It can be quite overwhelming.

You tried so many things and yet, nothing seems to get results.

Your time & effort go to waste, and that's not a pleasant experience.

I've been through this myself, I know it sucks.

And you know what's worse?

No one seems to be talking about the things that actually work!

I say... f**k that.

I dedicate myself to bringing power to the people.

There's a reason for why I'm banging out as many free consult calls as I can.

When I hit them with the facts, they always say...

"Oh wowww... That makes so much sense!"

They laugh out of relief.

And that's what I'm gonna do for you in this article.

I have compiled a list of 6 major insights that will eliminate most of the frustrations you're facing as a beginner creator.

Let's dive straight into the sauce...

1 ) The Big Picture Matters Most

Why? Because this is about seeing things clearly.

How are you supposed to do anything well if your vision is blurry?

Being familiar with the big picture allows you to see things from an elevated perspective.

You have to know the role of each element and how it fits into the whole.

The whole in question, is one-person business.

It's elements include:

  • Offer

  • Brand

  • Content

  • Audience

Look into the connections & relationships:

  1. In-between the elements (ex: content ⇄ audience)

  2. Of the whole and other wholes (ex: you ⇄ me)

It will start to make a lot more sense once you understand this!

2 ) Mindset Is Your Biggest Weapon

We all live in the same world.

The only difference between individuals is how they choose to approach life.

If you want to succeed, get your mindset straight:

a) Growth start with self-awareness

You can lie to other people, but not to yourself.

If you're not seeing the results you want, you're doing it wrong.

Stop deceiving yourself and...

b) Be open-minded

Most people dismiss anything that doesn't match their beliefs.

This is how you get stuck in place & never move forwards.

I don't care how crazy something seems to you.

Consider the possibility that it may be true and do your research before you throw it in the bin.

c) Be a humble & knowledge-thirsty student

When I consume content, I like to pretend like it's my first time learning about that.

Why? Because then I don't hit against my current beliefs.

Do your research first, and then...

d) Question everything

Compare the new stuff with your past knowledge.

Does this make sense in itself?

Where does it fit into the big picture?

Are there any inconsistencies?

Then you find a place for it inside the bigger system(s).

3 ) Learning Is The Most Important Skill

The two things that seperate you from the most successful people:

a) Doing the right things

b) For a long enough time period

Let's take time out of the equation, because time takes care of itself.

That means the only thing you need to do...

Is to do the right things.

And you can only find out what does are, by learning.

Consuming content is not learning.

Learning is positive behavior change.

That means you need to eliminate things you're currently doing, and you need to replace them with "better" things that get more results.

4 ) You Are Your Niche

This is not traditional branding & marketing.

You're not settling for a niche in the market, you are creating your own.

Think about it...

No other human being on this planet can be you.

Your uniqueness is the biggest possible asset you can own!

Why would you throw that away and turn yourself into a replacable commodity?

Instead, take your:

  • Beliefs

  • Stories

  • Talents

  • Interests

  • Curiosities

  • Experiences

And use those to create something new & unique.

To make this more practical, pick 3 broad topics for your brand:

1 that makes you money (ex: marketing)

1 that interests & excites you (ex: psychology)

1 that makes you grow as a person (ex: spirituality)

These should be 3 topics that help you achieve your big goal.

They will combine forces to create an explosive cocktail.

The result?

Something bigger than the sum of its parts.

Something new & exciting.

Something different.

5 ) People Follow Leaders

Not bystanders.

Are you leading people towards something promising?

No? Then why the hell should people follow you!

Your job as a leader is to take your tribe from where they are now...

And to a better life situation.

Leadership is about selflessness, about providing the maximum benefits for the group.

Guess who the group rewards the most?

Exactly, the individual that gives the most to the group.

Does this make sense or what?

Alex Hormozi said that "good will compounds fastest", and I can attest to that.

Ever since I've given myself to helping the community, my growth went bananas.

Growth is about community & leadership, not about mindlessly putting out content and expecting people to miraculously find it.

The audience is not going to build itself!

6 ) Less Is More

This is one-person business.

You are the CEO & only employee.

Your time & energy are precious & limited resources.

And you can't afford to waste them on things that don't get results.

I only do 4 things every day:

  1. Working on projects (ex: coaching offer)

  2. Engaging like a... you-know-what

  3. Free consult calls

  4. Creating content

These are my fundamentals, the rest takes care of itself.

This depends a lot on your exact situation...

But the key insight here is that you should eliminate everything that isn't necessary.

Focus on doing the small handful of things that gets results well & with volume.

And finally...

Don't f**king waste this.

Here's what's gonna happen if you actually apply these lessons:

  1. Your confusions & frustrations will vanish

  2. Your growth will go apeshit

  3. You will actually start enjoying this

But are you going to?

You better.

This depends on you.

I hope I've made myself very clear here.

That's it for this week...

Peace out.
